Goodness, it sure has gotten toasty outside!  That is Kansas City weather though.  Brad finally broke down last night and turned the air conditioner on.  Sure wish he would have done it in the morning though - as it was pretty sultry in the house.
Last week Brad decided to buy a new dishwasher.  So Thursday evening he took the old one out and left it sitting in the kitchen as the new one being delivered Saturday morning.  What he didn't see was that the water hose to the dish washer was broke and leaking - right under the wood flooring in the kitchen. Needless to say the floor had to be replaced.  So.... much to Brads disapproval I decided to redo the kitchen while there was no floor!!  That began a HUGE undertaking - to say the least!  Someone should have told me how involved it was to paint kitchen cabinets!!  What a mess.  My arm is taking the brunt of the insult with all the sanding.  But I believe that it will all be worth it when it is done.  It's already starting to take shape and it certainly is brighter in there.  So, in my "spare" time you can find me in here:
painting.  I'll keep you updated on the progress.  :)

Now that Remember This is closed, Melissa has been spending more time with Two Paper Divas.   Gayla and Mel have asked me to be on their design team and I was really happy - cause I really like their stamps. So today I am sharing with you a card I made using Seed Packet Banner & Sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.
Have a beautiful day!!

  3. Oh, Rene, you have my sympathy. We just had our cabinets done by professionals and it was quite a process; deglosser, two coats of primer, three coats of paint, glaze and two coats of sealer with lots of sanding in between. It looks amazing and I know you will be happy with it when you are done.
Water and wood floors definitely don't mix. I'm sorry that happened to you; what a bummer!
